Ads are disappearing across the web due to a short-term outage of Google Ad Manager

Internet users saw an ad-free Internet for several hours on Thursday night.
At 8:04 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, Google Posted that it is “investigating reports of an issue with Google Ad Manager.” While users are able to jump into the program, “they see error messages, high latency, and/or other unexpected behavior.”
Most importantly, the ads weren’t showing, which meant users weren’t seeing ads on the websites of companies using Google Ad Manager. “Ad Manager does not serve ads to affected users,” Google wrote in its incident report.
A few hours later, at 10:40 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, Google said that the issue was resolved by writing, “Ad serving has now been restored.”
Google didn’t share any information about the extent of the outage in its post, but users on social media speculated that it could be a global outage with customers in the US, Canada and other countries Japan report about it Twitter that Ad Manager was not working.
Google Ad Manager is a digital marketplace Here customers can buy and sell ads across multiple networks. The service is primarily used by large publishers who sell directly to ad buyers. Over 80% of major publishers say they use Google Ad Manager to manage their ad sales.
Google’s other advertising services appear to be up and running. The search giant does not report any problems with AdSense, nor with AdMob, its advertising services for smaller websites and mobile developers.
Advertising is an important part of Google’s business. Google deserves it $54.48 billion from advertising sales in the third quarter of this year for total revenue of $69.09 billion.
