Alibaba Cloud builds Metaverse Launchpad on top of Avalanche

The cloud division of Chinese tech giant Alibaba (BABA) has built an enterprise launch pad to deploy Metaverse on the Avalanche blockchain.

Dubbed Cloudverse, the launchpad aims to provide businesses with an end-to-end platform to customize and manage their Metaverse spaces to find new ways of interacting with their customers.

Avalanche will provide the technology to build the Metaverse rooms, while Alibaba Cloud will provide the processing power and storage, according to an email announcement Thursday.

Avalanche’s native token AVAX was little affected by the initial announcement of the news, surging less than 1% from $16.86 to $16.98 as of 15:20 UTC (11:20am ET).
