BBC Three and BBC Northern Ireland are dating influencer Olivia Neill | in the metaverse of message

Youth-focused British broadcaster BBC Three and BBC Northern Ireland have co-commissioned a documentary about dating in the metaverse from indie producer The Connected Set.

Unreal! With Olivia Neill will air on BBC Three on May 29th, followed by BBC Northern Ireland on June 14th.

It is presented by Belfast-born social media personality Neill, who embarks on a journey across the UK to meet people who have used virtual reality (VR) technology to form relationships. Neill then tries to VR-Date herself to see if she can find her own Mr. Right.

The Connected Set is executive produced by Jason Mitchell and Tom Payne. The documentary’s executive editors are Mary McKeagney, Clare Mottershead and Julie Shaw, while Rosemary Baker is the series’ producer and director.

Mitchell and Payne said the documentary could serve as a launch pad for an entire series featuring Neill on the subject.

“With Olivia’s genuine intrigue and infectious passion for the subject and the people she meets, we’ve created what we hope will be an exciting factual series,” Payne and Mitchell said in a joint statement.
