New AdSense privacy laws come into force in CA, CO, CT and UT in 2023

In 2023, new privacy laws will come into effect in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and Utah that will apply to the collection and processing of personal information.

According to an email to all AdSense admins and legal managers, starting January 1, 2023, we will amend the existing Google Ads Data Processing Terms, Google Ads Controller Controller Privacy Policy and Google Measurement Controller Controller Privacy Policy for these 5 new laws of the US -State. No further action is required to accept these terms if you have already agreed to the online privacy terms.

Advertising and analytics only. This update applies to Google’s advertising and analytics products. If you also use other Google products such as Workspace or Cloud Identity, this email will not affect your use of those products.
